Some of our 2016-2017 mind changing, challenges and many blessings

The Lord has blessed my family and I tremendously in just the past few months. Timeline: I had to move out of my place of eight years in the end of June 2016 because the safety of my family and I was at risk. I then moved in with a relative who I didn’t have a good history with and they wanted to control and dictate my life and responsibilities. I moved out of there after four months with my two sons’ to another relatives place and I was exposed to things that I would have never guessed. During that time the Lord allowed for me to be up under one of his followers in what I refer to as “Bible Boot camp” to relearn the word, get quizzed and to help keep me focused on the Lord during these challenging months. During this time he got really sick out of nowhere and it was very emotional a few months later a friend of mine informed me that he passed away. When I heard that I was sad and angry!! A little bit before his passing away while he was in the hospital my family and I were then kicked out of his place a few days before Christmas. Less than 24 hours after the kick out phone call the Lord had somewhere for my sons’ and I to stay and be surrounded by family. On December 30, 2016 the Lord blessed my family and I with the keys to our own place. During the time we were homeless and as it’s always been my focus for my babies my main focus was that my sons’ stayed in good spirits, that they were focused on their academics and extra curricular activities. In February 2017 both of my sons’ received recognition on the citywide honor roll in San Francisco. Then in March 2017 one of my many prayers came to pass where I was blessed to get a job that I’m passionate about working with at risk youth in a stress free environment. Not only that I work up under one of the best supervisors who’s a follower of the Lord, leads by positive example and inspires me to accomplish my dreams. On July 6, 2017 I received my acceptance letter to graduate school in the Master’s Counseling Psychology program. Not even an hour after being let out of service at Sovereign Shepard on Sunday, July 23, 2017 I received a text from my former landlord offering me a place 15 miles away from my job versus 30 miles. A month from now my family and I will be living in our new place!! The abundance of blessings are far more than I can share in this blog. Through it all Pastor Lisa has helped me through and I am truly grateful on how she allows the Lord to use her!! The Lord I believe in is REAL and is the ONLY one that I truly can count on and has given favor to my babies and I and has kept us safe from all hurt, harm and danger.
