Power of Prayer #37

Lord the heavens have opened up and the rain is falling freely upon the earth. As the rain washes the filth from the earth, so too allow Your Holy Spirit to wash Your sons and daughters. The skies have spread apart to allow the rain to fall from heaven, Lord we are but an atmosphere away from You! The heavens separate us from Your glorious presence, but Lord on days where the skies are opened and the heavens pour rain, I feel extremely close to You. As a child I used to image that when it rained that You were crying for Your people. How would someone so young have an understanding so deep? Lord wash us this day so that when this rain touches our flesh we are being bathed by You directly. Lord thank You for the rain and just ask that You keep all of Your children safe while driving and walking out in it. I lift up this prayer to You this day, In Jesus Mighty Name! Amen
