Power of Prayer #131

Father God I ask that You search the hearts of Your people today. Let us look deeply into our own lives and realize the only person to change us is US! We have lived long enough to stop blaming our moms & dads for our downfalls in life. We struggle with addictions because our parents were addicts??? WHAT?? Father You came to set the captives free & upon Your journey upon this earth You instructed us to love our God with all our hearts & to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. You gave Moses 10 commandments & left Your disciples with only two. Help us to get right this day Jesus, we can no longer blame others for our short comings or dark roots that "We Choose" to hold on to. Help us to let go of the past that desperately wants to keep us from our futures!
